Last ride on the Versys-X

I’m preparing for my departure from the Philippines. This pic was taken last month on one of the last rides I made into the mountains.

AdRotate Free 4.13.4 – Available now!

This update fixes a few things to improve PHP7 compatibility and overall stability of the plugin. The dashboard keeps getting small incremental changes and tweaks.

This time the “Help” tab got re-done. It’s now an actual help tab, too.
Take a look at the renewed content in it. If you’re looking for adverts to increase revenue take a look at the Partners tab.

Blind Ferret Publishing Network

In addition to the partnership with Media.net I also went into a agreement with the Blind Ferret Publishing Network – Or Blind Ferret for short.

Ever since they started in 2005 Blind Ferret has been spearheading technologies and advertising methods to make advertising more interesting and profitable for everyone. And now they want to get in touch with you!

I think they can be a great help to you and your advertising offering. So check them out and see what they can do for you.

AdRotate Geo reinstated and updated

Over the past few weeks I’ve been working on new mechanics to better manage AdRotate Geo. As an immediate response I shut down AdRotate Geo API versions 3 and 4 and introduced version 5 a few days later with better detection mechanisms to block/ban abusers.

This worked fine for a while until the DDoS nonsense started again, those requests are not attached to a license and thus I can’t use the mechanic to block them as well – Since the system didn’t look at the IP address or origin other than the license key.

AdRotate Geo has been online for 2 weeks now and things are somewhat fine. API version 5 works fine. All versions have been collecting a crap-ton of data to use on version 6, which is around the corner, ready to deal with IP address banning.
These bans are permanent. No exceptions. It’s fully automated too.

Any IP address sending more than 5 invalid requests that has no license is banned automatically within an hour or so. If this system works as expected all other API will be updated with the same mechanics over the next few months.

If you have any questions of comments, please let me know below or via the contact form. Thanks.

I’ll try to figure out what to do with AdRotate Geo in the meantime 🙁
