This update removes a lot of unused debug code. Which overall should improve the speed of the plugin a bit (just a tiny bit). Also the installation script has been optimised to better check for existing tables. And more visibly the dashboard widgets got fixed and should now show up correctly.
Updating regularly is never a bad idea
Most of the time plugin updates are important for your websites security and to keep it current and fast. AdRotate Banner Manager is no exception. Allthough AdRotate has a pretty good track record in providing a safe experience. You still need to update to get those security fixes.
Updates are also important to get the latest features. AdRotate Banner Manager didn’t get all that many new features in the last 2 years or so. But features that are in the plugin already get improved all the time. From little tweaks to complete overhauls. It is therefor a good idea to update the plugin at-least a few times per year.
I’m still looking to internationalise AdRotate Banner Manager a bit more. If you’re fluent in English and another language, please consider helping with translating AdRotate to that language by contributing some words or phrases. Adding a few lines or words takes only a few minutes. But adding a full translation is of-course even more awesome.
Check out the translation system here: translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/adrotate/. Also if you set your website to a language other than US English, a banner may appear in your dashboard asking you to translate a few words.
