At long last, I got basic blocks to work. And what a chore that was to get it to work. Anyway, AdRotate Banner Manager now has 2 simple blocks in the WordPress block editor.
One for placing single adverts and one for placing groups. A few other things got improved and fixed, too.
Blocks got introduced a few years ago. I never cared for them. In fact, I don’t use them and don’t like them. But, some people do. AdRotate Banner Manager now includes 2 blocks. One for placing a single advert and one for placing a group. Very similar to how the widgets work.
To use the new blocks simply create a new post or page, or edit one, and look for the AdRotate blocks in the block browser. You can also search for them by typing ‘adrotate’ or ‘banner’ and a few more relevant keywords.
Let me know if they work for you, or if they don’t, what’s not working for you. That way I can look into improving the functionality.
AdRotate Pro update
For AdRotate Pro an update is almost done, also includes blocks, and should be ready later this week. Several new features and many improvements and smaller tweaks to help managing adverts even easier and more intuitive.

Staying up-to-date with plugins is important and is almost never a bad thing. Updates are important for your website security. But more often updates also add new or improve features as well.
Updates are available via your dashboard and require no special knowledge to install, this makes it extremely easy to keep your site secure and have the latest features.
