AdRotate Professional 5.12.3 has a number of fixes and improvements to further enhance your advertising capabilities. Once again based on user feedback I’ve revised how tracking pixels are added to certain adverts. Instead of tagging the actual advert image AdRotate now adds its own separate pixel for impression tracking. This change was made to prevent double tagging for adverts with their own pixel, or that have multiple images.
Along the way I also figured out a way to not include empty onclick attributes to ads by revising the syntax for the adcode a bit. Not a big deal, but some javascripts may get confused by the old method. And cleaner code is just better of-course.
Support options
The ticket support form now includes a dropdown menu where you can select an advert to include in your ticket. This generates a hashed version (same as the hash in the portability feature added last year) of your advert and its direct settings. I can import this code into my test site and see if the advert works or in many cases what’s wrong with it.
This will be a great tool to troubleshoot adverts that you can’t get to work but are unsure what’s going wrong. For the time being no Group or Schedule settings are included. But perhaps that can be added later on if you guys like the feature. Let me know in the comments below or through the feedback option in the Ticket Support form.
