AdRotate Professional 5.12.4 fixes the oversized tracking pixel and has a number of fixes and improvements for the dashboard.
Less notification banners, some bug fixes with saving adverts and redirects affecting a few users.
Expanding the Advert Generator
If you have ideas for templates/pre-made or pre-formatted ads that the Advert Generator could create/serve up please let me know in the comments below or through the contact form.
I’m thinking about expanding the generator options with templates but am unsure what kind of ads are popular and which ones would suit the generator.
Support options
The ticket support form now includes a dropdown menu where you can select an advert to include in your ticket. This generates a hashed version (same as the hash in the portability feature added last year) of your advert and its direct settings. I can import this code into my test site and see if the advert works or in many cases what’s wrong with it.
This will be a great tool to troubleshoot adverts that you can’t get to work but are unsure what’s going wrong.
For the time being no Group or Schedule settings are included. But perhaps that can be added later on if you guys like the feature. Let me know in the comments below or through the feedback option in the Ticket Support form.
Google Analytics 4
Earlier this year AdRotate Pro stats for Google Analytics 4 got overhauled. If you’re using GA4 you can read in the manuals below how to set it up.
My preferred method is still the Global Tag, this is of-course because it’s less of a hassle to get working. But both methods are interchangeable with AdRotate sending the same Events since the update. In older versions that wasn’t the case.
