AdRotate Pro version 5.19 and 5.19.1 are two small releases mostly focused on dashboard fixes. Typos, rewording of certain texts and things like that. Next to that the experimental Wallpaper group has been added. This has been tested on a bunch of themes and seems to work well.
You’ll find a working example in the AdCode examples. And when choosing a group mode a new Wallpaper mode has been added.
In Settings > Miscellaneous you’ll have some control over the z-index of the wallpaper. Not every theme uses the same z-index.
A wallpaper group works as you’d expect. Add wallpaper ads to the group and set the group to do Wallpapers and that’s basically it. For the ads, the AdCode has to be a specific format, check out the code examples to see what that looks like.
To enhance security a tiny bit all text output in the dashboard has been escaped using WordPress functions. This should prevent malicious translations from breaking your website.
AdRotate Professional Lite
To accomodate the low budget group of users from AdRotate a new license type has been introduced – AdRotate Professional Lite. In its basic form this is simply a Single License. Except with AdRotate Professional Lite a few features have been removed from the plugin.
It is a lower license tier after all.
AdRotate Professional Lite does not get Ticket Support, check the knowledge base and manuals in it to figure out how to use AdRotate. On top of that, AdRotate Geo is not supported. And remote stats collecting (Through Matomo and Google Analytics) has been removed as well as a few advertiser related features. You can review all the differences in features on the Feature comparison tab in every AdRotate product page.
If you need those features consider getting a Single or Duo license instead.
