AdRotate Pro version 5.21 fixes a request error with AdRotate Geo. The response from AdRotate Geo is not properly handled and stored where needed. AdRotate Geo, while working fine, responses are now properly handled and ‘decoded’ for use. This of-course ensures that geo targeting data actually works so that your ads show up in the correct areas.
AdRotate Pro 5.21 also switches license activations to the new API. This should ensure better and more secure communication with the license server, using more modern code and standards. If you run into trouble with activating or de-activcating the license after updating please let me know.
The new API is partly a move to reduce the reliance on WooCommerce and their overpriced License generator plugin. But also to modernize systems and routines from the older version I am using now.
AdRotate Professional Lite
To accomodate the low-budget group of users from AdRotate a new license type has been introduced – AdRotate Professional Lite. In its basic form this is a Single License. Except with AdRotate Professional Lite a few features have been removed from the plugin.
It is a lower license tier after all.
AdRotate Professional Lite does not get Ticket Support, check the knowledge base and manuals in it to figure out how to use AdRotate. On top of that, AdRotate Geo is not supported. And remote stats collecting (Through Matomo and Google Analytics) has been removed as well as a few advertiser related features. You can review all the differences in features on the Feature comparison tab in every AdRotate product page.
If you need those features consider getting a Single or Duo license instead.
