Ads show then disappear

I am using the free version of AdRotate with Google Ad Manager to run ads in the sidebar. The ads are showing consistently on mobile, but on desktop they load and then disappear.
Any help would be much appreciated!
If the adverts are set to show on desktop that should be fine.
