Cannot create new adverts or groups

Clicking New Advert/Advert Generator or Add New under Manage Groups produces this error each time:

“There was an error loading the page. Please try again by reloading the page via the menu on the left. If the issue persists please seek help on the support forums”

I thought that the AdRotate admin being set to SEO Editor rather than Administrator and/or the fact that we had no wp-content/banners folders set was preventing me from adding new ads (or groups) but now those are both fixed but I still cannot add a new ad or group.

That error usually indicates a database issue.
If you’ve updated the plugin recently make sure that the database is up-to-date.

You can check the database version in Settings > Maintenance, near the bottom.
If something is amiss that AdRotate can detect there will be a update button as well. Click it to fix the issue.
