Hi, i cannot create new schedules from create new ads form. I have no error entries into error_log file, this was after upgrade plugin version.

I create the ad an is ok, but the related shedule has error and not created. The ad show config error. On sheduled list, the shedule for the ad ID is not present (not created).

I tried update db version button from adrotate -> maintenance. I have adrotate v401 and db v68

    Im using:
    php v7.4
    wordpress v5.9.3
    adrotate plugin v5.8.19

Please can you help me to solve this error and get back on track?

Hi, I cannot create schedules anymore. The only error is:

There was an error loading the page. Please try again by reloading the page via the menu on the left.
If the issue persists please seek help at ajdg.solutions/forums/forum/adrotate-for-wordpress/

Of course, loading the page via the menu on the left generates the same error.

Usually that indicates a database issue.
Please check your servers error_log file for errors.
The error_log file can usually be found in your hosting dashboard. Anything mentioning AdRotate is interesting.

Okay, will try to find the error. Having a pretty hard time digging through the error log.
There are almost 3 million lines in the log file. It contains hundreds of thousands of warning lines from AdRotate.

PHP Warning: Undefined property: stdClass::$spread_all in /home/liveweb/domains/domain.nl/public_html/wp-content/plugins/adrotate-pro/adrotate-functions.php on line 209

It’s a little more than ‘hundreds of thousands’.
To be exact this warning appears 1.9 million times. (1.939.826).
And that’s only for April 2022.

I finished searching after removing the PHP Warning above. Then there are no AdRotate entries left in the log file.

If you’ve just updated make sure you have finished the update properly.
There probably is a big banner in the dashboard prompting you to finish it.

If not, go to settings > maintenance, near the bottom you’ll find the database version (probably in red) and a button to update the database from there.

I beg your pardon, I do not know how to do it..:( How do I check the error log and what to search?

The error_log is usually a simple text file. Found in your hosting dashboard.
Normally there is a dashboard page in there that can open/show the file or the last bit of it.
Ask your hosting provider for the specific location or to send the log to you if you can’t find it.

As for what to look for, there will be errors in that file, anything that goes wrong with websites and databases that can make errors goes in there.
Anything to do with AdRotate will mention AdRotate 😉 You’ll know it when you see it.

I just updated the plugin and have the same issues. Date fields will not allow me to update and setup a new advert. The only I found in my log, and I ran all the updates in the maintenance section.

@rceditor, what does it say for the versionnumbers in settings > maintenance? Are there numbers in red there?

Hmm that’s odd. Please contact me through the contact form for further assistance. Since the update seems to have failed a manual edit to the database is required to get things back on track. Please refer to this topic when you do.

A fix is being tested and should be ready soon.

If you have AdRotate Pro you can create the schedule from Manage Schedules and select the advert from there too.
Or set up the required schedules and select them when editing the advert.
