The latest image/asset I’ve added will not appear. The other six do…but not the newest one. I’ve tried everything… the html is exactly the same as the other six. It appears in the set up section, but does NOT appear on my site. What is the problem? Your prompt reply will be appreciated. Thanks. MPQOctober 23, 2019 at 11:15 am #89219
Does the 6th asset show up in the dropdown menu in your dashboard?
Does it work in the preview?October 23, 2019 at 4:56 pm #89236
There’s no drop down… just the Active Advert page… shows the five single ads & 1 group. and the five single ads do rotate. But the 7th ad does not.
Does the art/image have to be a certain dimension? And yes, the art does show up in Preview. This is the code (same as the others)
<a href="https://reggaereport.com/shop/peter-tosh-tribute-bundle/"><img src="%asset%" /></a>
Thanks.October 23, 2019 at 5:29 pm #89238
If you’re using
%asset%you select the file a little further down, in a dropdown menu or via the WordPress media manager.
Otherwise the advert is just empty/non-functional.October 24, 2019 at 10:39 am #89279
Yes. I loaded it from the WP Media Library… the same with other 6 that are showing up. Any size restrictions? It does show up in Preview… and same size approximately as the other 6.October 24, 2019 at 12:26 pm #89292
If all 6 adverts are pretty much the same there is no reason to think the 6th won’t work either.
Try for the 6th advert to use the asset of one of the other 5. If that works, the adcode and settings are fine. But the issue is with the 6th asset.
Make sure your adblocker is turned off for your site.
And of-course make sure the 6th advert is placed properly. If you put it in a group, check the group. If it’s in the same group as the others it’ll be fine. But then try to place it as a single advert to see if that works.October 24, 2019 at 4:26 pm #89307
Can’t find AdBlock plug in. And I couldn’t find a place on my site anything about adblocker. It’s odd cause the other ones all show up.
I tried what you said and it still doesn’t show up. So I added a new advert and now it doesn’t show up either.
Both of those adverts not showing have the exact same HTML as the ones showing up. Both have images in Preview. I’m hoping we can find a solution to this. It’s getting frustrating.

What kind of image are you using? Jpg? Gif? Png?
Usually if the advert works in preview it works on the site as well.
So something on the front-end must be hindering the advert. Maybe your theme or another plugin causes some kind of issue.October 25, 2019 at 10:58 am #89346
I use .jps only on the site. If there’s a problem on the front end, why do the others show up?October 25, 2019 at 11:22 am #89348
Jps is not widely supported according to google, thus many programs, including many browsers, can’t open it… Try with more common files like jpg or svg.October 25, 2019 at 12:23 pm #89359
I’m sorry… big typo… I do use JPG… all of the adverts are JPG… the two that won’t open are JPG.
So for these two, the html is correct… image is JPG… the correct size… shows up in Preview… will NOT show on site.
Have you had this problem with other sites? It’s making me crazy.. I need to show more than just the 5 that are rotating…
thxOctober 25, 2019 at 4:43 pm #89362
If you’re using “simple” jpg files and the code is correct there is no reason why it won’t work in AdRotate. You mentioned that the preview works. This means that your advert is fine.
If the advert then doesn’t show on the actual site something is wrong on that part.
Adblocker, your theme, other plugins. Something is causing a conflict/hindering things.
If the whole advert is missing as if it doesn’t exist, make sure your settings are good. That you didn’t expire it by accident by setting a wrong schedule or impression limit or something like that.
Settings for this are in the advert itself (when you edit it) or in the group the advert is in.October 26, 2019 at 12:17 pm #89397
I guess I will have to move on then. Both of the ads that are
showing up have the correct start days and times. They link to the Shop where the item is for sale (using the exact same code as the adverts that are showing up > this code (same as the others)
<a href="https://reggaereport.com/shop/peter-tosh-tribute-bundle/"><img src="%asset%" /></a>)
It is odd that five ads show up consistently. So I don’t understand why you say there is a problem with the site, ad block, theme, etc. since the other adverts work fine.October 26, 2019 at 12:37 pm #89406
Or you can come to the easy conclusion that the issue is not with the advert, your placement or AdRotate. And the error is somewhere else.
Especially since the advert works in the preview. And if you checked that all its settings are fine.
It’s unlikely the issue is in AdRotate at all.October 28, 2019 at 6:20 pm #89482
I’m sorry that this could not be rectified. If you have no suggestions as to where else the problem could possibly lie I will have to look for another similar plugin. I need to add adverts and it is not working with this current plugin. Has anyone else had this problem? of ads not showing up? If so, what did they do to fix it?October 28, 2019 at 7:02 pm #89491
But the advert works fine, you said so yourself.
It just doesn’t show on the site. Which, as I pointed out/concluded, is likely not an issue with your advert or AdRotate Pro.
Did you check how the advert is placed on the site? Did you check the settings for the advert?
Blindly changing plugins is not a solution of-course…
