Hi Which version did you upgrade from?
As you may have read, some earlier versions have some trouble with updated.
Version 5.8 and newer continue to improve the automated update system. 5.8.5 for example adds a status indicator for the update checker and a more reliable button to check for updates.

If the Session is not populated there is not much else to do or check.
Something seems to be hindering things.

I have a tool for AdRotate that let’s you see what’s in the session, but if you have a session manager you can probably see whats in $_SESSION already… So I’m not sure if that would help.

I’ve tried to place a bunch of groups on a test site and no duplicates show up there.
Does it work if you not use Post Injection? For example if you stick a group widget and a group shortcode on a page with the same 2-3 adverts? Or a couple of widgets.

It seems to work for other users. This logically means the form in itself works.
So if the email is not sending/not coming through your SMTP, you should talk to your hosting provider about that.

Perhaps install a SMTP plugin for WordPress to ensure emails are sent more reliably.
Or setup a DKIM/SPF record if you haven’t already.
Ooooor… Use a more trustworthy domain name as the ‘from’ address. Some domains are on spam lists… This happens from time to time with emails I send 🙄 Very frustrating.

Fine, then we’re not looking at the same source.
I see it. Post Injection works.

The thing that seems to be missing from it is the advert. Make sure there is an advert in that group and that the advert is not expired.
If you use caching, clear the cache, perhaps we’re looking at an older version of the page.

You can manage most notifications in Settings > Notifications. Some are mandatory though.

I got a ton of emails over the last few days, both from the site contact form and the plugin contact form.
If you didn’t get a reply I didn’t receive yours.

Of-course I don’t have such a list. Most hosts have sessions enabled though.
For my testing I use InMotion -> https://ajdg.solutions/go/imh-shared

“it” is obviously refers to your website…

As you could in my earlier linked screenshot it said the advert is not available.
The HTML comment showed (and still does) after the 4th paragraph.

Just inspect the content text and look for it. No special tools required.

If the ad expires but is not in ‘the need attention’ section The expiry date is more than 2 days away.

There is only one yellow colour. For the ad.

Hi Joe, it looks like the amount is used as the label.
I’ll update it later today. Thanks for your report 🥳

I know of some users who place their wallpaper ad in the footer with a widget.
    Did you try that?

    But it still says:
<!-- Error, Ad (n/a) is not available at this time due to schedule/budgeting/geolocation/mobile restrictions! -->
Where you want the advert to show up (after the 4th paragraph).

So there is still no valid advert in the group 😉
You can see this for yourself by looking at the page source.

Look we can argue about this all day, but adding such an option would just reverse the argument…
Stats always on still requires you to remember to turn it off for the ads that don’t need tracking. Same as you now need to remember to turn it on.

There is no point in adding an option like this.

If there is overwhelming demand for such an option it’ll be considered.
As it stands you’re the first ever to ask for it.

I never received an email from you. I think. Or if I did, you have my reply but I don’t recognize your name.

I’ll look at adding a CC option or something similar. That could be useful.

Seems to me the injection works just fine. But there are no ads in the group to display. See screenshot: https://disk.stor.fit/index.php/s/JaHrmnb9XTEdMQW

So make sure you have at least one valid/working advert in the group.

You can delete old files from Settings > Maintenance.
It’s a checkbox option for the cleanup button.

Allright, then if the budget column missing is the only error please execute this query in PHPMyAdmin, you can do so in the SQL field/page. PHPMyAdmin is usually found in your hosting dashboard or through cPanel/Directadmin.

    ALTER TABLE wp_adrotate ADD budget double NOT NULL default '0' AFTER autodelete;

Make sure the wp_ bit matches your database table names. Some setups use another prefix.
Obviously since you’re editing your database manually, take great care to copy the query exactly.
A backup is never a bad idea for this kind of thing.

    Aha!

Usually that means you didn’t finish the update properly.
If you go to Settings > Maintenance, near the bottom there is a button “run updater” that should add the missing column.
