Are you busy with your site, your audience and with creating great content? You should be!
But that also means you can easily get behind on updates, security patches and just keeping things tidy.
What you’ll get
I’ll do a checkup of your site. Assess what needs to be done. Often this includes doing updates and some routine maintenance. If you keep running into quirks or usage issues I can take a look at that as well.
If you’ve installed or uploaded a lot of files and potentially created a bit of a mess in your files I can take a look at that and clean things up if need be.
And, very importantly, I’ll take a look at your database and see if it needs any attention. Your database holds all your websites data, settings and content.
I’ll also include an advise for improvements based on years of experience. Maybe there is a better or newer plugin. Some workflow to improve or just general advise on how to deal with comments or spam.
Does my site need a checkup?
Every website needs a checkup from time to time – Just like a car. If you’re not all that technically experienced with WordPress or websites in general, this can be a daunting task.
How often should I do maintenance?
Every website is different. Many sites go years without any attention, which puts the whole thing at risk. Two or three times a year is usually fine. I do maintenance on this site almost weekly. But that’s mainly because I like to tinker.
When do we start?
As soon as I have all the required information. I do expect to complete your order within a few days from ordering. This can go very fast if you prepare login details and a list of items to look at if any.
Once done do you provide help and support?
Yes, all services I provide come with limited support. I have a Facebook group which you can join where you can ask all your questions related to WordPress or anything related to it.
- You’ll need a WordPress website on decent hosting.
- I’ll need an admin account to your WordPress dashboard.
- An (s)FTP login to look at/clean up files.
- A login to PHPMyAdmin (or similar) to do the database maintenance.
