Google Analytics

Pro Feature

With AdRotate Pro you can easily track Impressions and Clicks using Google Analytics Events.
For most banner images, and some HTML5/iFrame ads AdRotate Pro can collect clicks and impressions and send them to Google Analytics. Select which tracker you want to use in AdRotate Pro > Settings > Stats.

Tracking code

If you’re Google Analytics you should already have the Google Global Site Tag or use the Google Tag Manager tracking code in your site somewhere. AdRotate uses this code to send events regarding your adverts to Google Analytics.
If you have no Global Site tag set up or do not use Google Tag Manager yet check out the installation guides here: Install Global Site Tag or Install and Set up Google Tag Manager.

Enable Statistics for Adverts

To see stats for your adverts, you simply enable the checkbox when editing or creating your advert and AdRotate does the rest.

Seeing statistics

Since you track stats remotely they are no longer visible in your AdRotate Dashboard.

Instead, adverts that have Statistics enabled will show a little icon on the right in AdRotate Pro > Manage Adverts.

To see your statistics you go to your Google Analytics account where the stats are available in 2 places.

  • Realtime -> Events -> Adverts
  • Behavior -> Events -> Adverts

Some older versions of AdRotate Pro report to the ‘banner’ event instead of Adverts.

  • Realtime -> Events -> banner
  • Behavior -> Events -> banner

Stats in Google Analytics will look something like this:

If you click the Adverts Event, you may see something like this:

Note: The stats in Behavior are delayed one day (24 hours). Most free/non-professional accounts of Google Analytics have this delay. If stats show up in Realtime, the same stats will eventually show up in Behavior.
