A quick update to make sure AdRotate works on WordPress 5.6. Removes several outdated mentions for Google Analytics and makes enabling stats more impactful. Impressions are now only counted when statistics are enabled for that advert.
This update improves compatibility with geo services. Several dashboard tweaks are included and the plugin is tested to work on WordPress 5.6. Also stats work a little different now.
A quick update making better use of WordPress time features. This integrates AdRotate a bit better with common time related functions from WordPress and takes away a potential time notation issue between WP and the server.
This update again improves on the auto-update response handler. Adding better handling for if you’re banned for some reason. Also a few security oriented measures have been implemented for zip uploads. And some other handy tweaks and fixes for general use.
A quick update making uploading zipfiles a bit more secure. Uploading a zip file now removes any file that’s not expected or commonly part of an advert from the unzipped files.
A quick update streamlining times, time calculation and more consistent use of same/similar functions.
In this update I’ve redone a lot of the advert error states to be more clear. Also I’ve added a few new ones to prevent “unknown errors”. Dates are now more consistent for updates and background usage. And the WordPress requirement has been raised to version 5.0.
It’s easy, lazy and super convenient to join an advertising network such as Google AdSense or Media.net or something similar. You can create an account in minutes, get ads immediately and see earnings within a week or so. It’s boring and anyone can do it. But if your site is big enough from the get-go it may be easy money and work fine for your purposes.
The real fun starts when you sell your own ad spaces. That leaves you in control and with AdRotate and AdRotate Pro you can easily manage which advert goes where and for how long. You make the rules and, within reason, you decide what happens. And that’s not a bad thing at all.
