Better stats, Better dashboard
This update focuses on the dashboard and display of stats. While the graphs in themselves haven’t changed – You can now navigate them much easier with datepickers. You can pick any range you want and see much more than just one month at a time. It took a while to figure out but this seems to work fine 🙂
A much requested feature for some time now. And finally it’s here. Let me know if you run into any quirks with the datepickers so I can improve them if nessesary.
Throughout pretty much every dashboard page there have been little tweaks and changes. Nothing all that drastic, but just small updates to make it just that better looking. Spacing, typos, field sizes. Pretty much everything got a good look and probably a little tweak. If you notice any irregularities, let me know 🙂Read more »
Turns out something was wrong with the update slug in AdRotate Pro. This is the behind-the-scenes-name for the plugin to get updates. This has been fixed in version 4.18.2. If your update doesn’t work you can update manually using these steps: Update AdRotate Pro to a newer version. This takes only a few minutes.
However, the automated update should work just fine, too. If the update doesn’t work, let me know and I’ll help you update where required.Read more »
I’ve upgraded AdRotate Geo to version 5. The older API will be retired in a few months. The newer API has better protection against fake users and stuff like that. Hopefully it’ll be faster for legitimate users 🙂
More importantly to you – the new API will no longer send empty responses like some users using version AdRotate Pro 4.17 experienced. So it’s working more reliable now, too.Read more »
This update fixes a few things to improve PHP7 compatibility and overall stability of the plugin. The dashboard keeps getting small incremental changes and tweaks.
This time the “Help” tab got re-done. It’s now an actual help tab, too.Read more »
Take a look at the renewed content in it. If you’re looking for adverts to increase revenue take a look at the Partners tab.
Updated all social links to point to the right Facebook Page. Re-arranged some strings and dashboard elements. Checked and verified that stats were accurate (since a bug in AdRotate Pro was fixed for a stats related issue). As far as I can see, it still works 🙂
Some reports that the schedule impression and/or click limit doesn’t work have been tested. I can find no such issue. All adverts disable/expire when they should.Read more »
A quick patch for passing group IDs to the adrotate_group function.
This no longer accepts arrays as intended, refer to the manual for the correct way of using PHP snippets.

Post Injection is a difficult feature for some reason. Fixing it will take some time. So in the meantime we’re rolling Post Injection back to what it was in version 4.12. It’s not perfect, but at-least it worked a little bit.
Some widgets had issues with a stray network variable, which has been resolved and shortcodes did something dumb with W3 Total Cache – Not sure how that happened, but it did. Now it’s fixed.
Some users of older licenses (starting with 101) had trouble activating or de-activating their license some times. This has been resolved too.Read more »
A quick update introducing an all new datepicker that actually works. Or as far as I can see. Date formats are now correct in all browsers, too.
For expired licenses (All licenses starting with 101) the force deactivate option now works, too. This of-course applies to everyone who wants to renew their license and has to swap it out at some point.
Don’t forget to renew your license, if you take a look at your Dashboard > Settings > License, you’ll be offered a renewal fee at a discount.Read more »
This update fixes a bunch of things for PHP7 and newer. The dashboard has been redone in a few small areas making it more intuitive and attractive.
Next to that caching notifications have been redone. Some are removed, others rewritten. Turns out that not everyone wants to know if their adverts may be cached and not rotate…
A bigger issue, date pickers. Pretty much every modern browsers supports native date pickers these days. Even iOS Safari. But not desktop Safari. yay!
So to remedy this I’ve created a basic and functional datepicker for browsers that do not support it, which currently will be mostly Safari users.
Some older browsers will not support the native datepicker and they too should fall back on the one I’ve added now. But I have no browser to test this – Let me know if you run into trouble with datepickers.Read more »
A lot of small changes in this update, most notable I finally retired the old widget to make room for the newer and faster widgets. The old widget has been on the todo list to remove for some time with it’s description indicating it would happen soon.
Google Analytics has has a good look and a number of things have been fixed and improved in that area.
The old widget has been removed from the plugin. You should upgrade to/replace them with the new widgets which have been included about 2 years ago.
These “new” widgets support all new features, unlike the old one, and are much easier to use.Read more »
