Matomo Tracker 1.3.1 – Updated dashboard

This update updates the dashboard for Matomo Tracker to be more in line with other plugins. The way translatuons work has been updated to work with modern WordPress.

Matomo Analytics is more better

With the increasing distrust of big tech companies like Google and Facebook, Matomo sits comfortably to host your website analytics securely and privately. With Matomo you can track stats for your website and other things, like an App, on your terms. Without some other company looking over your shoulder. Your analytics are yours, and nobody has access to them.

That’s great. For me, Matomo replaced Google Analytics entirely. I ditched Jetpack Stats and now rely on Matomo for all of my tracking. I track emails, RSS feeds and just common website stats. And I use my Matomo Analytics plugin to do so. It’s simple and ‘more better’!

No-Bot Registration 2.4 – Improved translation support

Another quick update for No-Bot Registration. Version 2.4 improves the formatting of the username blacklist. A few missing translation strings were added and the plugin now supports the more modern way of translation where the plugin slug must match the translation slug.

This also means that added translations should now ‘just’ work.

Compatible with ClassicPress

No-Bot Registration, like most of my plugins, is fully compatible with ClassicPress. ClassicPress is an excellent alternative for WordPress, especially if you do not like the Gutenberg block editor or the general direction WordPress as a platform is headed in. This website uses ClassicPress and has done so since 2021. It looks and feels like WordPress and can even use most of its plugins and themes.

AdRotate Pro 5.15 – Re-added table sorting

This update changes a number of things in the background and fixes a 6 bugs.

Sortable tables

Due to popular demand Sorting tables has been re-added. The intent with the removal was to replace it with a better way of sorting tables/data. Turns out no such method exists and alternatives for manual sorting didn’t work as expected. Checkin with several users who were perfectly happy with the basic sorting provided before it seems no changes were needed at all. Sorting tables has been re-added as an AdRotate Pro-only feature.

Widgets

Several years ago new widgets got added to AdRotate Pro with the intent to replace the old ones. They have been marked as such since 2020. These older widgets have been removed in version 5.15. If you were still using the depreciated widgets they’ll have dissapeared from your website. Please use the new widgets instead.

Along with that, the Obsolete Network widget has been removed. With the recent changes to how Network ads work the widget wasn’t needed anymore as the regular group widget can now do the same and better. Also here, if you were using this widget, replace it with a regular group widget and a group configured for Network use.

Translations

All included translations have been updated using Bing Auto-translator. All strings added in the last year have been translated and old strings removed. As always, if you find any quirks or stupid translations – Let me know with some examples and which lines exactly. I don’t speak these languages so please explain what the issue is so I understand what to change.
