Description
With PayPal Surcharge you can charge your customers a small fee for the use of PayPal in WooCommerce. A handling fee if you will.
Why charge a surcharge? Because using PayPal is expensive, especially for smaller webshops and e-commerce businesses. You may also just want to charge an actual handling fee because you simply don’t agree with transaction fees no matter the cost. Either way, Paypal Surcharge will help you out.
As you know, PayPal charges a variable fee that you have to pay for every transaction, this fee varies from 1.5% to 5%. As such, running a profitable business becomes harder and harder.
Make those margins count with Paypal Surcharge!
PayPal regularly revises and increases its fees for no good reason. That’ll be good reason to get rid of PayPal, right? Yeah, that’s one way to go about it. But you’ll miss out on sales and some convenience. Unfortunately many WooCommerce webshops can not afford to stop offering PayPal as a payment option because so many customers use PayPal and rely on it.
But… not all is lost. With PayPal Surcharge you can reclaim some or all of those transaction costs from your customers.
Percentage or Fixed amount
With PayPal Surcharge you’ll charge your customers a percentage fee or fixed amount on top of their cart total in WooCommerce.
Dynamic updates
The surcharge is added only if the buyer selects the PayPal payment option on checkout. And is removed if they select another payment option.
Note: Keep in mind that charging an extra fee also raises your transaction cost slightly. Set your surcharge to a sufficient amount.
Note: Paypal Surcharge supports a lot of plugins but new payment plugins become available regularly. If no surcharge is added for the plugin you use, please let me know what plugin you use so I can add support for it.
Advise: It is smart to amend your FAQ or Terms of Service to inform people about the surcharge. Nobody likes surprises.

Works as advertised, low price and with great support as a bonus.
When the new PayPal Woo Commerce Payment plugin was not recognized Arnan updated his plugin within days. Now it’s working (again).
5 stars without a doubt.
