Do you offer free downloads and think making invoices or even orders for those free downloads is silly? I do… So I made WooCommerce Skip Checkout. Creating orders for free stuff can be useful if you want to collect user information or email addresses. But if you don’t do that, those fields, or indeed the order process, can be skipped.
With WooCommerce Skip Checkout you can remove the unnecessary fields in a few clicks. Simply activate WooCommerce Skip Checkout and provide a semi-public place to share your free downloads from and create your downloadable product as a free product and you’re done.
WooCommerce Skip Checkout has no settings dashboard but requires some setup for your downloads.
It’s recommended to create a ‘free-downloads’ folder in /wp-content/, or someplace where you host your free downloads. Check the included readme.txt for details. Setup takes only a few minutes.
Little setup required
Simply activate the plugin and set up a folder for your downloads and the plugin takes care of the rest.
